SPIRIT OF SOFIA HOTEL – UPGRADED POOL DECK DESIGNS

In mid-2025, I was contacted by the interior designer and the new owners of the Spirit of Sofia Hotel to return for an exciting redesign of the pool decks. Due to extensive remodeling and unresolved drainage issues, the original pool deck murals needed to be completely redone. While assessing the space, they discovered my signature on the previous artwork I created in 2022—and reached out to bring me back.

This time, I was given full creative control to reimagine the space with a vibrant, colorful, and more dynamic design direction. I embraced the opportunity to elevate the original concept, upgrading the artwork with bold flow, organic shapes, modern botanical elements, and large-scale compositions that guide the eye around the entire pool area.

The updated murals now feel even more alive and immersive, enhancing the architecture and creating an uplifting atmosphere for hotel guests. The transformation not only restored the decks after construction, but elevated the visual identity of the entire property—turning the pool area into a signature destination and photo-worthy centerpiece for the hotel.

This project was an incredible full-circle moment—being invited back because my work made a lasting impression, and being trusted creatively to take the vision even further.
