Frequently asked questions.

General

Q: Where are you located?

I’m based in Los Angeles, California. My studio, Art by Presa, is located at 3416 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90019. Some services are done in studio, and mural projects are completed on site at your location.

Q: What kind of work do you do?

I create large scale murals, custom canvas paintings, and art direction for brands, as well as teaching Creative Flow art classes for kids, teens, and adults. My work often blends bold color, symbolism, and nature to celebrate feminine energy, healing, and community.

Q: Do you work with both individuals and businesses?

Yes. I work with homeowners, small businesses, hotels, churches, schools, and larger brands. Whether you want a mural for your living room, a statement piece for your business, or artwork for a public space, we can talk through what makes sense for your project.

Murals and Custom Art

Q: How do I start a mural project with you?

Start by filling out the inquiry form on my website or emailing a short description of your wall and vision. Helpful details include photos of the space, approximate wall measurements, whether the wall is interior or exterior, and your ideal timeline. From there, I usually schedule a brief call to talk through ideas and provide an estimate.

Q: How much do your murals cost?

Pricing depends on size, complexity, and surface, but as a general guide:

  • Standard walls over 200 sq ft usually start around $25 per square foot

  • Hard to reach areas, floors, and ceilings generally start around $35 per square foot

  • Highly detailed work may be higher
There is also a project minimum of $5,000 for murals. After I see your wall and understand your vision, I provide a custom quote.

Q: Do you charge a design fee?

Yes. For mural projects I typically charge a separate design fee that covers sketches, mood boards, and revisions. This fee is often credited toward your final mural cost once we move forward. It also protects my time and ensures the design process is thoughtful and collaborative.

Q: How long does a mural take to complete?

It depends on the size and detail. Smaller walls may take a couple of days once painting starts, while larger or more intricate projects can take a week or more. The overall timeline also includes design, approvals, and any prep work needed on the wall.

Q: Can you match my brand colors or existing decor?

Yes. I often work with brand palettes and existing interiors. You can share your logo files or hex codes and photos of your space. From there I create a design that feels cohesive with your environment while still carrying my signature style.

Q: Do you travel for mural projects?

Yes. I am based in Los Angeles but I do travel for select projects within California and out of state. Travel, lodging, and per diem are added to the project quote when necessary.

Q: Can I see examples of your past work?

You can view a portfolio of murals and paintings on my website and social media. If you need specific examples such as hotel, church, or school projects, you can mention that in your inquiry and I can send tailored samples.

Canvas Commissions and Fine Art

Q: Do you create custom paintings on canvas?

Yes. I accept a limited number of custom canvas commissions each year. These range from smaller works to large statement pieces for homes or commercial spaces.

Q: How do you price custom paintings?

Custom paintings are priced based on size, complexity, and timeline. I provide a quote once I understand your concept and ideal dimensions. There is typically a non refundable deposit to reserve your spot in my schedule and the remaining balance is due on completion.

Q: Can I commission a piece inspired by one of your existing works?

Yes. Many clients fall in love with pieces from my Feminine Divinity series or other collections. I do not recreate an original exactly, but I can create a new work inspired by the same energy, colors, and symbolism, tailored to your space.

Q: Do you sell prints or merchandise?

I offer select prints and merch based on my original artwork. Availability can change, so the best way to stay updated is to join my email list or follow me on social media for announcements.

Booking, Payments, and Policies

Q: How do deposits and payments work?

For murals and commissions, a non refundable deposit is required to secure your date and begin the design phase. The remaining balance is typically split into scheduled payments, with the final payment due on completion of the project. For classes, full payment is usually required at registration to hold your spot.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

I accept major credit cards and business payments. For larger projects, bank transfer or check is often preferred. Details are provided in your invoice or contract.

Q: What happens if I need to reschedule a mural or class?

Life happens. If you need to reschedule, please contact me as soon as possible. Class reschedules or credits depend on how close it is to the date and whether your spot can be filled from the waitlist. For murals and commissions, we adjust the schedule when possible, in line with the terms outlined in your contract.

Q: Do you offer refunds?

For murals, custom artwork, and classes, deposits are non refundable because they reserve time and resources. In some cases credits or reschedules may be available, depending on the situation and how much advance notice you give. Full refund details are outlined in each contract or class policy.

Artwork Usage, Copyright, and Media

Q: Who owns the copyright to the artwork?

I retain copyright to my work, which means I can photograph and share it in my portfolio, social media, and marketing materials. As a client, you receive the right to display the artwork in your space. Any additional usage, such as using the mural or painting on products or in advertising, requires a separate licensing agreement.

Q: Can we film or photograph you while you paint?

Usually yes, especially for commercial projects and community events. I also document many projects myself for my YouTube channel and portfolio. If there are any privacy or confidentiality concerns, we can address them in the contract.

Accessibility and Health

Q: Are your classes accessible for people with health or mobility challenges?

I do my best to create a supportive environment. If you have specific needs or limitations, please share them with me privately ahead of time so we can adjust seating, timing, or activities as needed. My goal is for you to feel safe, included, and able to enjoy the creative process.

Q: What if I am not feeling well the day of a class or session?

Please prioritize your health and the health of others. If you are sick, contact me as soon as possible. Depending on the situation and policies at that time, we can discuss rescheduling options or applying your payment toward a future class.
